Dana K. Schultz

Ms. Schultz is a founding member and shareholder of the Firm who concentrates her practice on the defense of medical malpractice claims. She has been in practice for over twenty years and regularly defends physicians of all specialties, as well as physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, hospitals, large physician groups, long-term care facilities, and a large academic institution related to claims of health care negligence. Ms. Schultz’s litigation experience includes all phases of fact and expert discovery, motions practice, defending and deposing expert witnesses, bench trials, and jury trials, and she regularly appears before trial courts in Maryland and the District of Columbia.

Prior to moving to Maryland, Ms. Schultz practiced law in California, where she defended malpractice claims involving physicians and dentists. She also frequently represented insurance companies and their insureds in premises liability, personal injury and wrongful death actions. Ms. Schultz has been practicing law in Maryland since 2004 and several years later, she began handling cases in the District of Columbia. A majority of her career has been spent defending health care providers. Ms. Schultz received her B.A. from San Diego State University in 1997 and her J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles, California in 2000, where she was a member of the Trial Advocacy Honors Program. Ms. Schultz is a member of the Maryland and California State Bar Associations.
