David A. Roling - of Counsel for Wiggins Law

Mr. Roling is Of Counsel to The Wiggins Law Group. He brings with him thirty-five years of experience defending medical malpractice actions. Throughout his career, Mr. Roling has tried over one-hundred jury trials, been involved in numerous appeals, and has practiced at all levels of the Maryland judiciary. While the bulk of Mr. Roling's trial experience is in the realm of medical malpractice actions, he has also handled cases dealing with products liability, health care provider licensure issues, criminal matters, and copyright and trademark issues. Mr. Roling has been recognized as a Maryland Super Lawyer by his peers since 2010 and in addition to the many medical malpractice actions he has handled, Mr. Roling has been active in pro bono endeavors. Specifically, he provides pro bono services to children with disabilities seeking assistance with special education issues, as well as matters involving disputed medical services for disabled children.

 

Other pro bono activities have included Mr. Roling's gubernatorial appointment to the State Advisory Council on Medical Privacy and Confidentiality (2000-2002), as well as his County Executive appointment to the Anne Arundel County Commissioner on Disabilities Issues (2003-2004). In addition to these appointments, Mr. Roling received a nomination by the Maryland Appellate Judicial Nominating Commission to the Court of Appeals of Maryland (2003). Mr. Roling has given multiple lectures related to medical malpractice legal issues and how they impact Maryland health care providers. He has also been involved in numerous Board panel discussions and participated in a number of mock trials. As Of Counsel, Mr. Roling will be serving in an advisory role on matters involving coverage disputes and complex appellate issues.
